Atlanta Area Chamber Wrap

Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce plans for an exciting week, with chamber member’s first Business After Hours hosted by State Bank, said Jill N. Crocker, chamber president.

Business After Hours is being held at State Bank tomorrow (November 10th) from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. This event is for card-carrying chamber members only, however.

“It’s a great opportunity to network and promote your business and ideas for our great community,” Crocker said. “This is a come-and-go event! Bring your business cards.”

Crocker said she and the chamber have been waiting not-so-patiently for the 2022 Holiday Open House, coming Sunday, November 13th from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

“Sunday is the day,” Crocker said. “…Aday of shopping that will end with the lighting of our Christmas Tree.”

“Now that’s a good day,” she added Crocker said the Holiday Open House is a great chance for chamber members to support one another.

“So invite friends, family, even strangers to see how Christmas shopping is done…Atlanta, Texas-style,” she said.

Crocker wanted to remind members that the chamber is still taking nominations for the AACOC board of directors.

“We have four seats to fill,” Crocker said. “Deadline is November 18th.”

Forms for nomination can be found on the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page and Website, atlantatexaschamber.com.

“Check out the upcoming events list and all fliers attached,” Crocker said. “Remember to utilize our website. It is very community-friendly. Have a job to post or an event? You can add it to our Website.”

The chamber president reminds us that their office will be closed Friday in honor of Veteran’s Day.

Crocker asked townsfolk to consider attending the Veteran’s Day Celebration at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Plaza in downtown Atlanta.
