Atlanta Area Chamber President said there are four openings for the chamber’s board of directors and with lots of community businesses events coming up, the chamber will need some help.

“This office is working hard for our community and its businesses,” Jill N. Crocker said. “We will have four openings for our Board of Directors. If you would like to serve or know someone who is interested, come by our office and pick up a form.”

In October, Crocker said the Atlanta chamber added four new members.

“It’s all about the numbers,” she said. “In October, we added four new members, held four ribbon cuttings, had one Fall Maker’s Market and one Glow Run.”

Crocker said this was all done while planning ahead for what is in store. A scarecrow contest starts today and folks can check out the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page to vote for your favorite decor.

“Thank you to Family Eye Care Clinic; Heath Clark, Farmers Insurance, Caffe Crema, River Valley Tractor, The Cutting Co & Barber Shop, and Billy Fincher Construction for participating,” Crocker said of the Scarecrow contest. “Be sure to check out their displays and vote!”
