Atlanta Ag students earn top honors

Atlanta High School Ag Mechanics students earned impressive results while competing at the Fort Worth Ag Mechanics Show, showcasing their technical skills, craftsmanship and real-world problem-solving abilities.

Students brought home multiple blue ribbons across a wide range of projects, reflecting hours of planning, precision and hands-on learning: Gooseneck Trailer (Blue Ribbon): Cian Skidmore, Austin Burger, Diego Mendoza and Logan Groce.

Round Bale Hay Sled (Blue Ribbon): Charles Tyson, Vance Miller, Ronan Barr. Welding Table (Blue Ribbon): Nick Nash, Jason Groce and Hollan Howard.

Ground Leveler Tractor Attachment (Blue Ribbon): Eddie Brewer. Gas Bottle Rack (Blue Ribbon): Christian Chandler and Amelia Kassens.

Outdoor Entertainment Center (Red Ribbon): Russell Robbins, Lane Stiles, Lee Kimbriel, Ryder Thompson and Ryanne Blake.

The Fort Worth Ag Mechanics Show provides students with the opportunity to apply classroom instruction to authentic, industry-aligned projects, reinforcing skills in welding, fabrication, design, and teamwork.

“We’re proud of the hard work, precision and dedication our Ag Mechanics students continue to demonstrate,” Superintendent Jason Harris said.

“Their success reflects both their commitment to excellence and the strength of Atlanta ISD’s career and technical education programs.”
