$22.5 million ranch up for sale near Linden
A22.5 million luxury ranch just went up for sale near Linden. The ranch spans more than 700 acres, boasts of a 60 and a 70-acre lake, and has several exotic animals.
The property is listed by Wright Monning of Dallas-based Icon Global.
For those who have the resources to purchase the property, they can expect various outdoor activities like boating, long-range hunting, fishing, and hiking. The property features the beautiful, wooded areas of Cass County with private lakes, a spring-fed creek along with several docks for boating or other water motorized vehicles.
Other outdoor activities include a firepit, grilling areas and a skeet range.
In a promotional video on Icon Global’s website, it shows the footage of a helicopter landing on the property. That said, this property also has a landing strip for planes to land also.
If you are interested in wildlife, you can expect an “abundance of wildlife, including white-tailed deer, fallow deer, blackbuck antelope, emus and zebras.”
The main home is perched 150ft above the main lake with sweeping views of the ranch “has four bedrooms, a bar and an extra living room that could be converted into a fifth bedroom, per the owner’s original plan. There’s also a guest suite in one of the barns” according to an article on Real Deal real estate website.
“The idea was to make sure that no room in the house had a bad view of the lake, and I think they did an excellent job of capturing that,” Monning said in the article.
Here are some of the highlights of the property noted by the realtor:
• 700+/- Acres in Cass County, Texas

• 4 additional lakes, and several stock tanks

In June, a 2,200-acre ranch near San Antonio, priced at $54.5 million, sold for an undisclosed amount; the listing agent said it was the second-biggest deal he ever closed.”
A little closer to Cass County, two properties roughly two hours west of Dallas, hit the market at $10 million and $15 million.”
According to the article, “the sellers acquired the property through multiple acquisitions dating back 10 or 12 years, and they performed a complete overhaul of the main house roughly six years ago.
The site is also set up for additional dwellings, as there are other home sites already connected to utilities.”
Monning told the Journal-Sun that he believes Iron Lake Ranch is one the best live-water recreational compounds in the southern region if not the United States.
