2020 Cass County Biggest Loser

Not to be confused with NBC’s Biggest Loser or the all-new biggest loser that will be premiering on USA network this year, Cass County Biggest Loser may have none of the affiliations, but will be doing something very different and something we hope will be incredibly special for our community.

In March the Cass County Sun and the Atlanta Citizens journal will be presenting the all-new Cass County Biggest Loser. Different from its TV counterparts, the goal of this event is not only to encourage weight loss but to promote overall good health. We will be working with medical professionals in the community and fitness coaches to produce a program that will encourage our citizens towards healthy lifestyles.

Currently, we are looking for fitness professionals, weight loss companies, health coaches, dentists, life coaches, counselors, pastors, dieticians, businesses, and other interested parties that would be willing to get the word out for us and help partner with us by sponsoring ads, writing health-related articles and donating prizes for the event.

This year we will be doing at least two special sections for the event that will go in both the Cass County Sun and Atlanta Citizens Journal. The first will include rules for the different competitions that will take place. It will also be comprised of healthy lifestyle articles that focus on our whole being, not just limited to weight loss.

Surrounding the information ideally be businesses and organizations that want to support healthy lifestyles in our community.

Subsequently, in the next special section, along with the health-related articles, we will be looking for health and beauty professionals, fashion consultants, tailors and such to participate in the issue. As the people in our community learn a healthy lifestyle they will begin to feel more confident about their bodies, clothing sizes will change, and they will need help with what comes next.

Finally, at the end of the year/beginning of next year, we will be posting results, success stories, those challenges along the way and things people can grow and learn from for 2021. During that time we will also have an awards ceremony where prizes will be awarded.

We believe this contest/event has the potential of changing lives for the better for years to come.
