Work on a water tower in Queen City is well underway. The City of Queen City was awarded a Texas Community Development Block Grant, in the amount of $500,000. The project consists of rehabilitation of the 100,000-gallon elevated water storage tank, which includes repairs, sandblasting, recoating of the interior and exterior, and the addition of a new QC logo.Also included in the project is the replacement of the pumps and motors with three new high-service pumps and motors at the city well.
