Linden native to sing at Music City Texas

Jonathan Webster is no stranger to the music scene. What started out as a small number in a church talent show turned into a nice little career.

He’s graced many stages now and will do so again as he prepares to take the stage in his hometown inside Music City Texas at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6.

Webster was born in Linden, graduated from Linden- Kildare High School in 2000 and attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches where he now resides.

He put in his bio. that he grew up soaking in a vast array of music, especially in a town that was the home of T-Bone Walker and Don Henley.

Webster sings a wide variety of music and has always had a deep appreciation for any music style as long it spoke to him deep down in some way.

He tried different avenues and styles of playing and singing but it wasn’t until he met Jackson Browne after one of his acoustic shows that he actually found his calling.

Webster went on to say, “That night I realized how powerful one person and guitar can be. The songs I’ve written since that time are open honest songs that were crafted from experiences in my life. All real 100 percent from the soul, no filler. I hope that my music can be enjoyed and speak to the listener as music has spoken to me. I hope there is some you can relate to in my music, something that makes you laugh, something that makes you cry.... Whatever the case... I hope it moves you.”
