Cass County Olympiad is April 17 at Rabbit Stadium

Excitement is building across the community as the annual Cass County Olympiad returns on Friday, April 17, bringing together students, families, and supporters for a day of celebration, competition, and inclusion.

The event will take place at Atlanta Rabbit Stadium from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with opening ceremonies kicking off promptly at 9 a.m. Athletes from across Cass County will gather to participate in a variety of events designed to highlight their abilities, determination, and school spirit.

The Cass County Olympiad is organized by the Atlanta High School Student Council (AHS STUCO) under the leadership of sponsor Ms. Kim Charleston, whose dedication helps make the event possible each year. The Olympiad has become a beloved tradition, providing students with opportunities to compete in a supportive and encouraging environment while fostering confidence, teamwork, and community pride.

This year’s event also highlights student creativity and collaboration. The artwork for the official Olympiad t-shirts was designed by two students from different schools—Desmond Hicks of Atlanta and Gracie from McLeod— reflecting the spirit of “Better Together” that defines the event.

This year’s event is made possible through the generous support of local businesses and organizations.

Platinum Sponsors include Brookshire Grocery, the City of Atlanta, and the Jacob Dude Memorial Foundation.

Gold Sponsors include Living Water Nutrition, Flint’s Furniture, Jack’s Fine Foods, and Richard Hozdic II, MD, FAAFP.

Silver sponsors include Family Eye Care Clinic, Northeast Texas Property Management, May’s Lone Star Flooring, Bowie Cass Electric, Dr. Danny Addington DDS Dentistry, Discount Wheel and Tire Pro, and Best Western.

Bronze sponsors include Giesler Family Dentistry, River Valley Tractor, A-1 National Liquids, and Dylan Thompson Wealth Management.

Organizers emphasize that the continued success of the Olympiad depends on the generosity of these sponsors, whose contributions help ensure a meaningful and well-organized experience for all participants.

Community members are encouraged to attend, show their support, and cheer on the athletes during this inspiring day of competition and celebration.
