On a Saturday morning at Atlanta’s caboose play area recently, activity was steaming hot. Chili was being made. And not just ordinary chili but competitive, secret ingredient chili. The cookers were trying to win a contest.

The Cass County Fitness Center for a third time participated in a community drive to help others. On Wednesday, a food bank truck from Harvest House arrived to pick up donated food the fitness center had gathered from its members. “It’s our way of giving back to the community” center general manager Monica Beeman said.
