Queen City fifth grade Math and Science members compete

On Saturday, Mar. 5, the fifth grade Math and Science team members competed in their first competition of the year. Although they were the only fifth graders at the meet, they tested right beside the sixth - eighth graders from MUMS and all the other schools at the TMSCA regional meet.

The fifth graders did a great job at their first meet and the educators are looking forward to them joining full time next year for a chance to compete at the state level.

The results are as follows: Number Sense - first - Max Ross, second- TJ Rose, third - Braxton Jones, fourth - Asher Bolt and fifth - Tandy Easley.

Calculator - first - Peyton Coats, second- Preslee Parker, third - TJ Rose, fourth - Braxton Jones and fifth - Asher Bolt.

Mathematics - first - TJ Rose and second- Max Ross. Science - first - Preslee Parker.
