Powell visits QCHS

Camille Powell, Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas Outreach Specialist, came to QCHS and worked with our Project Based Research Classes on Career Exploration using Oculus Virtual Reality Headsets and TransfvrVR software.

With the assistance of teacher, Lesley Dotson, and Counselor, Kendra Bates, students were able to experience hands on skills in careers in the areas of Manufacturing, Skilled Trades, Warehouse and Storage, Automotive, Public Safety, and Hospitality and Tourism.

We will continue using this Virtual Reality experience with other classes throughout the semester.

Queen City is excited to offer students the opportunity to use this new technology and appreciates the ongoing partnership with Workforce Solutions of Northeast Texas.
