Mudslingers

The new coffee shop on U. S. Highway 59 “Starbucks” is getting all the attention lately, but just down the street, another coffee shop has something to show and brag about, too.

“Mudslingers” is set to compete with ‘Starbucks” and has a newly installed sign announcing its presence. The coffee cup shows hot steam as an aroma rising into the air and headed high up into the sky. The image message is clear. This is where one can get a cup-o-coffee.

The advantage goes to the coffee customer who’ll have two choices. One is that of a fancy, nationally famous brand and the other a small, little red building with a its owner inside ready to serve with a smile.

Brittany Hill is owner of Mudslingers. The shop has been in business for several years now, long enough to be familiar to the community.

If one drives on into Atlanta, one will come to the specialty coffee shops of Caffe’ Crema on East Main and The Sweep Spot on East Hiram. Both serve coffee with attractive interiors that are worthy of comparison with “Starbucks.”

With such coffee offerings, Atlanta could become known as “Coffee Town USA.”
