Pastor’s 12th anniversary
The Pine Bluff Baptist, 8202 FM 250 North, Naples, Texas will be celebrating their Pastor & Wife, Rev. Roy & Sis. Cozella Miles 12th Anniversary on Sunday April 13th, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. Bishop Ricky Moore, Marshall, Texas, will be the guest speaker. All Area churches and pastors are cordially invited to attend.
The Queen City Alumni Association meets the first Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at Catfish King. For more information contact Jean Cothren at 903-796-6108.
Free meals
QC Methodist Church will be serving soup, beans, cornbread and desserts from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. every first Monday of the month, January through May. For more information contact Elouise at 903-796-7525.
Linden Garden Club meetings
The Linden Garden Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month (August through May) at the Linden Garden Club building at 300 East Houston Street, Linden. The meeting time is 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Members and visitors are welcome to bring a sack lunch to enjoy from 11:30 till noon. Desserts and drinks are provided. The meeting and programs begin at noon. Everyone is welcome.
Native Plant Society meetings
Native Plant Society Caddo Chapter meets 4th Tuesday of the month (Jan-Oct) starting off with a potluck and ending with a plant raffle at the Mary Daugherty Senior Canter in Linden. All are Welcome!
Retirees Association meetings
The Eastern Cass County School Retirees Association meets every second Tuesday of each month from January through May at the Queen City Methodist Church located on Marietta Street. Social time begins at 10 a.m. and meetings begin at 10:30 a.m. For more information call 903-846-2657.
Senior Citizens Center
The Mary Daugherty Senior Citizens Center is open all week for anyone who would like to join the group there for bingo, exercise, crocheting and a meal.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday exercise is from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by bingo from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and eating from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
On Tuesday crocheting is from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by bingo from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and eating from 10:45 to 11:30. On Thursday bingo is from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by eating from 10:45 to 11:30.
Every third Friday of the month they have “Birthday Friday” where they celebrate birthdays and have cake for those present. That normally begins at 10:45.
