New fire station dedication

Cass County Emergencey Service District #3, Smyrna will hold a Fire Station Dedication and Open House on April 17, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

All residents of Fire District #3 are encouraged to attend the dedication of the new Smyrna station.

Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served.

Firefighters and CCESD #3 Commissioners will be in attendance for tours and to answer any questions.

Free curbside bulk waste collection

Atlanta City Manager David Cockrell said that free bulk waste curbside collection is scheduled in Atlanta from May 10th through May 14th. “Bulk waste will be collected at the same time as our customer’s polycart is serviced, so make sure everything’s out curbside before the trash trucks arrive”, Cockrell said. He added, “We have a limit of 3 cubic yards of bulk waste this year, which is about the size of a pickup bed.”
