Lions Charter New Club in Avinger
A new Lions Club comes to Avinger on August 14, 2023, when 25 charter members celebrate the charter night of the Avinger Area Lions Club at Corbetts Catfish and More restaurant at 6:30 PM.
During the ceremonies, District Governor Brandon Greer will present members of the new club with their official charter. Members of the Jefferson Lions Club, who sponsored the formation of the Avinger Area Lions Club, will also be on hand to congratulate members of the new club.
The Avinger Area Lions club plans to become heavily involved in the Avinger community as needed. The Lions motto is “We Serve” where there is a need there is a Lion. We hope to put “boots to the ground” and make a difference in the lives of our community. The Avinger Area Lions along with other Texas Lions will also participate in the promotion and support of Texas Lions Camp, Vision Screening, Leader Dogs for the blind, and Disaster Relief programs.
