Fairview community members gather to be pictured a moment before the doors are open at the Fairview Community Center for its 12th annual Christmas Give of food. Some 125 boxes will be distributed.
The cars are lined up Saturday morning before the Fairview Community at 606 County Road 1625, Linden,TX.The occasion is a Christmas Gift of food. Some 125 recipients will be served in the annual Christmas drive.

The Fairview Corporation Barrett Christmas Give event gave out some 125 food boxes Saturday morning.
Cars were parked in a long line outside the community center. Some 40 members of the community were inside ready to help fill the boxes of food and then carry the heavy packages to the waiting cars of the recipients, if necessary.
The event honors M. J. and Audrey Mae Barrett. The FRC celebrated its first reunion in 1981. It has raised money for scholarships to area youth as well as constructing the Fairview Community Center which was completed in 2007. The intent of the corporation and Christmas giving is to keep the memory of Fairview alive.
This year’s Christmas Give community support event is in its 12th year.
