DAR tea celebrates Washington’s birthday

The Trammels Trace chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution hosted a tea party with all of the trimmings during their Feb. 9 meeting at the JE Manning American Legion hall. The tea was in honor of President George Washington’s birthday. A letter that was written by Martha Washington was read and some members dressed in period clothing.
