Annual book sale held
You could find just about any series from Twilight’s vampires to Neo-Christian Left Behind book series, and Sue Grafton’s and Dean Koontz mysteries. There were Karen Kingsbury’s Christian romance books, children’s books, poetry, classics, non-fiction, history and more in the oodles of boxes filled to the brim with books donated for the Friends of the Atlanta Public Library Annual Book Sale last week from Monday-Saturday at Mattie Lanier Richey Center. Board members said books were sold on a donation bases to help with the library’s summer reading program. For those interested in joining Friends of the Library, they meet on the first Tuesday of every Monday at the library at 3 p.m.
Friends of the Atlanta Public Library are currently selling tickets for a lovely quilt raffle made by The Nimble Thimble Quilter. Tickets are 6 for $5.00 and all funds go to benefit the area library. To buy tickets, contact the library, where the association will draw for a winner on June 15 during the Chocolate Party at the library.
