This past weekend was Easter, and Easter is a time full of sentiment and traditions. Some of the most common traditions might include attending church, dying and hunting Easter Eggs, Easter Bunny visits, taking a family photo in coordinating Spring colors, a family lunch or other meal, hitting the grocery stores for clearance Easter candy the day after the holiday, and the list goes on!

Accidents happen. People make wrong turns. Sometimes these end badly, sometimes not. One supposed wrong turn became part of an aviation legend. And with it, Texas native Douglas Corrigan became known for one of the most bizarre feats in aviation history – the transatlantic flight that went the wrong way.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month
The latest report on child maltreatment fatalities and near fatalities, compiled by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, indicates 251 children in Texas died in fiscal year 2020 due to abuse and neglect. That figure includes 28 children who died after being left unattended in hot vehicles.
