The Texas Department of State Health Services has received and distributed 14,780 doses of the monkey pox vaccine to local health departments and DSHS regional offices. Another 27,000 doses could be made available by the Strategic National Stockpile.
John Connally became a giant in Texas politics in the 1960s. He had a long career that included service in World War II, work as an attorney, years of work with Lyndon Johnson as his right-hand man in many campaigns. He would eventually rise to become governor and Secretary of the Treasury in a storied career. For Connally, it all began as part of a hardworking tenant farming family in South Texas.
On Saturday, August 6, 2022, Carolyn Lance, the Cass County Republican Party Precinct Chair will be one of 250 chairs to vote on nominating a new 6th Court of Appeals District Executive Committee District EC Chair. According to Lance, only Precinct Chairs are allowed to be delegates and vote.
