TEXAS HISTORY MINUTE

In the aftermath of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in November 1963, the nation soon asked questions about the presidency. Questions arose about what would have happened if Kennedy had somehow survived but with a severe brain injury or surviving only on life support systems beginning to become available at the time. Vice-President Lyndon Johnson had now become president, and he discussed these concerns with aides and members of Congress. The result was a new amendment to the Constitution.

LEDC Final Update

It’s always a rare pleasure to see snow in northeast Texas. Growing up as a child in south Louisiana, I still remember watching Christmas movies and seeing the various landscapes in the films all dusted over with snow and wondering what it would be like to make a snowman or have a snowball fight. I still remember the first snow I ever experienced after my family moved to Texas.
